Care/Carelessness presents a cycle of stories based on dysfunctional relationships with clothing; an overwhelming fixation with barely perceptible detail, a fetishistic and secretive documentation of worn clothing, the compulsive desire to precisely fold clothes to particular predetermined dimensions, an irrational and debilitating fear of disembodied gloves.
Various media are employed to construct the narratives including digitally enhanced photography, drawing,
collage and photo-recorded performance. The work is presented in different formats, variously existing as wall-based work, site-specific installation, and as discarded double-page spreads from a fictitious fashion magazine.
The work is recorded on exhibition at the Holden Gallery, Manchester.
